DCU just doesn't have enough rare pairings

I was in #dcu being sad that my present project had stalled.

Jori: aww! i'm sure it's fine. *soothes*
Petra: See, this isn't helping. I could be writing, like, a series of Alfred/Ace the Bat-Hound sonnets, and you wouldn't even know.
Jori: ... oh lord. please tell me you're not.
Petra: I'm not, no.
Jori: thank god.
Petra: If I were going to write Alfred/Ace it would have to be limericks.
