I usually avoid Birds of Prey slash because it often softens the characters too much for me to recognize them.

Not so in this story, where everything is as tangled and uncomfortable as it ought to be in a situation where Helena and Babs are having any sort of intimate relations.

The sharp edges make it true enough for me to enjoy it and believe it. Give it a try.

This is the list of stories I have actually started writing. It does not include such gems as Harvey and Batman having a "hell of a month, nor the one where Nighthawk gets the kind of Robin he would actually take in.

The story titles are my working titles, which are almost invariably discarded when I finally get to the posting stage for any piece of writing.

Excuses, Excuses:

Anomalous -- the Steph wakes up a boy story -- needs to wait a while, as Te just posted one. I want to write it because of the beautiful snark and genderfuck therein.

Another year alone -- the Red Hood-Harvey Dent teamup from post-Infinite Crisis -- is hard to do in the absence of any canon I like, but it's Jason and Harvey, and I want to see them work together.

Codependence -- the Babs/Dick/Tim -- is very, very pointless for me, emotionally speaking, what with all of the other stories I've done about them in a lot of ways. I'm not sure how to make it fresh and new, but if I could, it would be darn hot.

Double Date from Hell -- that would be Clark/Lois and Bruce/Janet Haywood, shading to things that make Te happy -- is damned near impossible to write for any sustained length of time, and has a very small audience besides.

Folk Hero -- as in, "A folk hero of my people -- with cleavage. Very touching, Dick." -- has gotten precisely nowhere.

I have a Gotham Tomorrow Jason-POV thing that I had no purpose for whatsoever.

Maybe I should make the Mythbusters RPS smoother in the English version and post it unflocked.

Hurt and Comfort -- one of *three* attempts at Bruce/Dick/Clark -- is at once the darkest, shortest, and most promising, and yet I'm not sure what to do with it.

Inevitable consequences -- a sequel, of all things, to To be awakened -- isn't something I need to read, and therefore isn't something I need to write.

Sparrowhawk's Kwanzaa may end up being my holiday project this year. Anyone who needs an explanation should apply to the Sparrowhawk tag.

Led astray -- another attempt at Clark/Dick, and my, I am not good at completing these -- has gotten nowhere thus far, but I had good, if filthy intentions. Neither has the one currently labeled LotDCU #6.

No Man's Land Birthday -- Bruce and Tim, something akin to gen -- is something Te has been trying to get me to write since April with little effect.

Por vos naci -- Bruce/Dick/Clark, attempt #3, from Hábito del alma -- is a story I'd be better off not writing, lest I cripple its appeal for myself.

Prodigious -- Dick/Tim, Prodigal -- is a story I want to have written and cannot quite see the end of.

Sparrowhawk: Year One appeals to me on every level except the one where I'd actually have to buckle down and plot.

World's Everloving Finest is just what it sounds like, with the extra added bonus of being Silver Age Bruce/Dick/Clark. It's seven pages long, the longest draft of any of the stories here, and shows no desire to get finished.

The moral of this story is that I write too many attempts at certain things and have too little motivation to follow through with them.

Anyone who suggests that instead of these I ought to write Tim/Kon will be blacklisted and mocked.
