I didn't know that anyone would ever address someone with breasts, long hair, an S-tshirt, and a miniskirt as Superman.

Supergirl is apparently too obscure for complete market penetration to the entire under-10 set. Some of the little guys got it, but not all of them, regardless of pretty obvious gender markers.

I suppose this balances the little African-American kid who had a white-guy mask that went with his Superman costume. One step forward, one step distinctly back.
