A serious question for serious fans

When I write by myself, I can craft lengthy tales of people interacting maturely and making sure their partners are happy.

When I write with derryderrydown, we come up with the creepy verse, a magically dysfunctional land of codependency, abuse of power, and emotional manipulation. It's a very unhealthy little world. We know this.

I wrote A soul resolved in the creepy verse to see if I could banish it. Short answer: ha! Longer answer: HA HA HA NO.

So today, when Derry and I were talking about said verse, we found what is either a happy ending or a clear sign that we need to get our heads out of the verse for some time, possibly forever (like that'll happen). What do you think?

Why I am open about my weird pairings

I love fandom.

The day the Batman <3 Two Face Shortpacked came out, at least three people linked me to it to make sure I saw it.

Today is the day of, "Hey, Petra, have you seen these beautifully creepy draft day photos? How about that disturbing posing and school-picture background, huh?"

Yes, I cried laughing. Yes, I appreciated every single link. Yes, they're so appalling I can't figure out what universe they were the best options in. Were the discarded pictures "two dudes standing next to each other looking bland," "two dudes smashing cake into each others' faces," or "two dudes in a clinch, whoops, that got a little heated"?

And I need to go bleach my brain a little so everything I write doesn't turn out massively creepy for the rest of the year. I like my creepiness intentional, for the most part.
