Snowflake Challenge Days 1-3
Jan. 3rd, 2019 02:54 pmDay 1: My happy place is wherever I can be with someone I care about, expressing ourselves freely. That includes: home with my family, a quiet chat, a raucous con, a chorus rehearsal, a dance practice.
Day 2: Three things I didn't create:
Republic of Heaven Community Radio is His Dark Materials/Welcome to Night Vale, a series of fan novels that take the world building of both sources extremely seriously, delve deep, reach epic heights, and are entirely riveting. Don't miss the author's work for the series.
Tigers Aren't Gentlemen is Dresden Files/Jeeves & Wooster and makes good use of all the premises Dresden Files entails with the light-heartedness of Wodehouse.
Everyone Is Poly Because Avengers is my favorite tag on AO3 that I didn't put there myself. I read in the fandom and if there isn't some tinge of this--not necessarily the tag per se or on-page orgies, but an openness to A <3 B <3 C with or without A <3 C, it's not my thing.
Day 3: Whenever Cristine of Simplynailogical posts a video, it makes my life a little brighter, whether she's doing an actual nail tutorial, playing with her cats, or painting her face multichrome.
What's in "a fandom" anyway? I can't paint my nails inside at the moment due to headaches so it's really lovely to see other people doing pretty things. I don't have the urge to do transformative works re: la famille Nailogical other than nail art. I do wish I had people to squee over it with without venturing into The Comments On YouTube.
