TFW the story sounds interesting, and then you open it, and...

...there are only two people in the scene. They use each others' names every single goddamn sentence.

...the blond man kisses the brown-haired man. Epithets are for kicking your reader in the gut, not identifying your characters when they know each other.

...there are no vocative commas, like what the fuck man. I admit I have listened to text-to-speech of a few stories that had no vocative commas because I was interested in their content, but I couldn't physically read them.

What stylistic things make you back out of a story instantaneously?
