In other news, racism in fandom is ttill a thing, but there are people out there trying to fix it. And people in here. The presence of anti-racists who are also anti-shippers does not mean that the anti-racists are wrong. Some people hate racism and love writing underage smut.

I am very tempted to tag my current story Choose Not To Warn on general principles, though I will confide to you, my DW audience, that it contains no major warning-level content, as "Weaponized Irony" and "Jedi Discourse" haven't risen to the level of inclusion as required warnings.

If you have thoughts and feelings about the Organization for Transformative Works in this time of calls to end racism within it, may I suggest reading chestnut_pod's thoughts on improving organizational structure in the OTW in pursuit of being able to make changes that would help address structural racism therein? Structural inertia and lack of clear organization are issues in the OTW in general, and chestnut_pod makes many good points about how addressing those would help the organization to be more of an organization and less of an evolution of an idea posited by a group of besties that now hosts millions of fanfics.
