Mad Men limericks
Dec. 28th, 2008 08:57 pmThere once was an ad man named Don
Upon whom the ladies would fawn
When he dropped his trou,
They'd holler out, "Wow!"
Except for the mom of his spawn.
There once was a housewife named Betty
Whose problems were often quite petty
Except for her beau
Who raked in the dough
But came home suspiciously sweaty.
There once was a girl named Sally
Whose mother, most criminally,
Taught her "on the rocks"
At the age of "Nice blocks!"
Leading her down a moral blind alley.
There once was a young boy named Glen
Whose neighbor would, now and again,
Flirt with him till it hurt
And then, over dessert,
Remind him that he's only ten.
There once was a scion named Pete
Who wanted his life to be neat
He put it to Peggy
Though he liked 'em leggy
While Peggy was short, young, and sweet.
Young Peggy was sharp as a tack,
Wouldn't listen when boys gave her flack,
Fought her way to the top,
Bugged out of a sock-hop,
And got her life back on its track.
There once was a lady named Joan
Who hated to be on her own.
She had curves out to there
And she made men swear
With brassières and good muscle tone.
There once was a writer named Ken
Whose successes were now and again
(He had a good pal
With a heart -- I mean Sal!)
And he often thought best with his pen--.
There was a young Beatnik named Paul
Who wasn't a Beatnik at all
With his liberal guilt
Played up to the hilt
He couldn't keep girls in his thrall.
There once was an artist named Sal:
All he wanted in life was a pal
With a nod and a wink
And no trip to the shrink
But instead he got himself a gal.
There once was an exec named Roger
Whose name says it all, don't you think?
Upon whom the ladies would fawn
When he dropped his trou,
They'd holler out, "Wow!"
Except for the mom of his spawn.
