Old fandoms never die
May. 12th, 2011 08:56 pmToday one of my friends told me that nothing had ever happened, historically speaking, on June 6th, and I did not correct her with the fervor of a Les Misérables fangirl who has opinions on the topic of that date.
Then I came home to my SO listening to Tori Amos's Little Earthquakes and caught myself wondering when he started writing Mulder/Krycek.
I also had cause to recall that Ashes to Ashes includes a Return of the Jedi reference in season 3, as they're both 1983.
Sometimes I wish I could clear out the extraneous data in my head, but I don't know who I'd be without it all.

Date: 2011-05-13 11:59 am (UTC)The Les Mis reference is to a completely failed attempt to overthrow the French king, June 5-6, 1832. It's what the whole barricade-building-singing thing was.
