Today one of my friends told me that nothing had ever happened, historically speaking, on June 6th, and I did not correct her with the fervor of a Les Misérables fangirl who has opinions on the topic of that date.

Then I came home to my SO listening to Tori Amos's Little Earthquakes and caught myself wondering when he started writing Mulder/Krycek.

I also had cause to recall that Ashes to Ashes includes a Return of the Jedi reference in season 3, as they're both 1983.

Sometimes I wish I could clear out the extraneous data in my head, but I don't know who I'd be without it all.

Our most famous king, Gustav Vasa, was crowned that day, so it's our National Day.

June 6th is D-Day, and that's certainly commemorated around here. Though I don't know the Les Mis reference...

Oh, is *that* what that was about? *is enlightened* Every time we had visitors, when I was a teenager, we used to take them up to London to see Les Mis, and somehow despite this I never gave any thought at all to the historical background of it all. Must learn more about that sometime.
