Happy New Year!

I wrote my main assignment first after rereading the relevant canon -- yay for ebooks being available, as I have loaned out my hard copy long since! -- and I really enjoyed finding a different way for Felix and Mildmay to have somewhat mutually coercive but still loving sex. Fortunately, my readers seemed to think that I landed the difficult emotional mess that characterizes them and any of their intimate pursuits. Also, people said it was hot, which is a triumph, considering that Felix canonically refers to penises as people's "sex."

I deeply enjoyed playing with their voices, which is one of the joys of this canon for me.

Acorn_Squash was a pinch-hitter who requested Seanan McGuire's InCryptid based on book 11 or 12. Fortunately, I had just read books 11-13, so I was well-equipped to write some fluff. I had a great time figuring out what quiet, loving activity the characters could do together.

Last and silliest, I wrote this for my dear sage, who had braved all the Doctrine of Labyrinths books in order to beta for me, and who read Archer's Goon last year for the same purpose. I was very glad to be able to write them something that would entertain them, and as far as I know they didn't work out that it was mine. Muahahaha. They have a standing request for Muppets + Anything, and I have recently been enjoying Aubrey-Maturin. It was a match made in vaudeville.

I may have to write more Muppet Show fic because writing Statler and Waldorf was goddamn amazing.
