lannamichaels. Comment with "Today we're canceling the apocalypse" and I will choose three of your icons for you to talk about, as I will talk about the three chosen for me:
There's a great Eighth Doctor audio adventure wherein there's an arc poem which includes the lines:
"Zagreus sits inside your head,
Zagreus lives among the dead,
Zagreus sees you in your bed,
And eats you when you're sleeping."
This icon is the Eighth Doctor with that text because I found it creepy and entertaining. Also, my brain has a tendency to sing it, "He eats you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness' sake!" for maximal intertextual weirdness. My buddy Mhari made it a million internet years ago.

This is from the Background Slytherin comics -- this one in particular -- and it is for talking about Harry Potter or cats. I made it.

This is Gene Hunt from Life on Mars (and Ashes to Ashes, specifically). It's not my fault that he gets referred to as the Manc Lion on occasion, and that when people invoke lions, my brain can't help but get Aslan from Narnia involved. Aslan is not a tame lion. Gene Hunt isn't either. Any stuff going on with Aslan being secretly Jesus and Gene Hunt living in a world that's deliberately confusing but which he pretty well controls is also text that applies to this icon. It's for Narnia discussions, and for the times when all you want is an asshole from the Eighties on a speedboat. Icon made for me by Thatyourefuse.
